Sunday Sharing

 From Saturday night -
6/28/2013  ::   Update on Juvenile Peregrines
All four of the Peregrine Falcon juveniles are flying confidently and honing their hunting skills. They have been spending less time at the ledge so as to become more independent. At times they return for rest, at nightfall, for protection from the elements, or if they are hungry and have had an unsuccessful hunt. After fledging, juveniles can remain dependent on their parents for up to two months. The adult falcons participate in their young's practice of flying and hunting, bringing them food if they have not been able to hunt their own, and even doing food drops to teach them how to dive. After these skills are attained to the best of their ability, the juveniles will leave the scrape permanently. They will continue to hunt and grow, and eventually they will search for a mate to nest and begin their life as a mature falcon, raising young as a parent themselves
 From FrEYEday night's walk
Mom took the khamera with her when she went to get the paper from the porch - since Mom and Dad weren't on the nest, she snagged some khwikhk shots - it DOES look like all three hatched!!!
See, khwikhk shot of a leaf

 Great job Mom

We chekhked on the khornpuppies Saturday night
Someone moved just at the last minute

Thanking and Thinking Thursday

Wednesday evening - as woo khan see, some rain moved through the area - which meant no walk fur me ;-(
******
Bakhk in February, we pawticipated in a khontest from Daily Kibble -
Imagine our surprise to see that KHYRA 17404 was one of the winners from the 32000 entries - take a look at all we got - the akhts are listed on the link -
Akhtually, they added a 27th prize - a donation to a shelter or reskhue of my choice - well, of khourse we pawed it to Whitney's B&B - fur if not fur Whitney and Her B&B, there would NOT be a Khyra's Khorner
The gifts started arriving - like a special HOWLiday
Some of the items were fur - GASP - KHATS - and some of khourse were fur khool animals like khanines!
Some of the items were not something I needed or would use - PLUS, it was all part of the idea - to give and surprise and paw 'em along!
Mom had been stashing the loot on the khounter and on the magikh khold box - waiting until most of them arrived so we khould send them off to furiends - we had already sent The Thundershirt to one of The Funny Farmers -
The other day I helped Mom sort through things as just about all of the items have arrived - we pakhked off some stuffs

It was so khool to win - and yet be able to share - I did keep a few items fur me - Mom will share them in another post sometime soon - but as many of woo know, Mom and I strive to live by the paw it furward khoncept - it is part of what kept Mom able to transport during those LONG LONG LONG sixteen months when she didn't have any way to make green paper$ -

We have a few more pakhkages to get out but trust me, this kept her busy for an hour or so!

Please visit Daily Kibble and sign up fur their daily email - they have other khontests throughout the year - we won't be entering as we want to let others have a khrakhk at winning!

Happy Thursday EvFURRYone!
